Techweek Startup City
Techweek 2012 has passed and Feltpad was lucky enough to have a table at the Startup City event on Monday. Startup City was the first time The Mosaic Photo System was running live at an event, and things went very smoothly.

Techweek was a great networking event and I will plan on attending next year with a profitable version of Mosaic. I have read that Techweek 2013 will be only 3 days, Thursday thru Saturday – rather than 5 days, Friday thru Tuesday that was Techweek 2012. I am no event planner, but I think this scheduling change will be a big improvement. This year, Friday was very busy but the weekend was slow – and everyone was hungover by Monday.

Mosaic Photo System
While running Mosaic at Techweek’s Startup City there were a few bugs that I noticed and those are being addressed. I have also started to implement some new ideas and continue to bring the Android app up to speed. Several possible partnerships arose out of being at Techweek and I will be following up on those during the coming week.

Google Glass
I will leave you with a video from the Google IO conference. Pretty amazing stuff, despite a few awkward “whoo-hoos!” from Sergy Brin.

TechWeek
Week 77 has been all about getting ready for TechWeek Chicago. I have been spending most of my time programming and getting the various pieces of The Mosaic Photo System working together. This weekend will be about absorbing as much as I can from the conference and preparing for our at TechWeek Startup City on Monday.

Mosaic Photo System
There have been a lot of bumps and triumphs for The Mosaic Photo System this week. I have vastly improved the Slideshow software and it is running very smoothly. I had to trim some of the functionality out of the Android App due to time constraints and technical problems.

Tune in next week for a report on my experience at TechWeek Chicago.

TechWeek Startup City
This week Feltpad was invited to demo The Mosaic Photo System at TechWeek’s Startup City. This invitation gives Feltpad a great opportunity to test Mosaic with a live audience and make some connections that can help us grow. We also have a few surprises planned.

Mosaic Photo System
The invite to TechWeek’s Startup City added some extra pressure to roll out Mosaic for Android. This week has seen some good advances (the Android app can now capture and upload photos) but next week will be busy as I try to push out v1.0 to the public.

Techweek

We are happy to announce that Feltpad has been invited to demo The Mosaic Photo System at Chicago Techweek’s Startup City on Monday, June 25th. We are currently working on logistics and plan to have Mosaic running with live photos from the event.

About Techweek’s Statup City:

On Monday, June 25, Startup City will highlight the startup ecosystem’s creativity and variety, giving attendees an exciting sneak peak of the newest ideas entering the market.

Located in the exhibit hall, this space provides an area for startups and aspiring entrepreneurs from Techweek LAUNCH to demo their products and network with potential investors and customers. Exhibitors can also receive feedback from technology trendsetters, media representatives, digital creatives and other exciting industries that attend Techweek. Startups are an important part of the world economy and an integral element of our conference.
